The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Constantino Micael during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Constantino Micael kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cambotinha EC's Celso Tepedino got a free kick in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ArrancaCerebroS AFC's zone, Sílvio Luiz Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Liher came out of the goal and Sílvio Luiz Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Celso Tepedino fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambotinha EC's protests and gave Celso Tepedino a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cambotinha EC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Celso Tepedino hit a great ball. Constantino Micael was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Cambotinha EC booed when ArrancaCerebroS AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Micael didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Gilberto Liher managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Cambotinha EC's Fiori Coutinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Norberto Alvarenga charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norberto Alvarenga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Cambotinha EC got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Alvarenga. 44 minutes into the game, ArrancaCerebroS AFC's Emiliano Lauaxeta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.

The wind increased when Fiori Coutinho made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Emiliano Lauaxeta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Reis was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Emiliano Lauaxeta's late challenge caught a Cambotinha EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
