When Flávio Sacramento fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Terceirense F.C.'s protests and gave Flávio Sacramento a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Campus Douro Academy defense, Aristides Perdigão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Graça. The Campus Douro Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Graça should have stopped the shot. Juliano Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lourenço Bacelar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damião Horta got free with Lourenço Bacelar in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Paulo Pires fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campus Douro Academy's protests and gave Paulo Pires a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo Pires hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Vítor Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Paulo Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campus Douro Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lourenço Bacelar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Borges hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The supporters of Terceirense F.C. booed when Campus Douro Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís França in the 43rd minute of play forced Campus Douro Academy's goalkeeper Cristiano Graça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Terceirense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Juliano Magalhães came free, but Lourenço Bacelar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís França made a kick off. Aristides Perdigão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Cristiano Graça made a huge save. In the 57th minute, Paulo Pires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lourenço Bacelar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 62 minutes into the match, Fabrício Vides had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lourenço Bacelar. Terceirense F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabrício Vides was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 64th minute, Gusmão Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Campus Douro Academy getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Paulo Pires hit a great ball. Terceirense F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luís França in the 74th minute. The corner led Terceirense F.C.'s Luís França to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristiano Graça despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Vides in the 76th minute of play forced Terceirense F.C.'s goalkeeper Lourenço Bacelar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juliano Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Lourenço Bacelar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Campus Douro Academy's Cristiano Graça got control of the ball when Aristides Perdigão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristiano Graça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Sacramento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Campus Douro Academy's Damião Horta got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Luís França came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Terceirense F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís França couldn't finish the play. The Terceirense F.C. players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Campus Douro Academy from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
