But to his dismay, Jorginho Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, Locomotiva grena's goalkeeper Murillo Loyola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur Soeiro. If Daniel Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arthur Soeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murillo Loyola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arthur Soeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Iuri Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Sarmento in the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Freire in the 33rd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Iuri Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 40 in the game by Arthur Soeiro from a close distance when the talented Murillo Loyola managed to make a qualified save. Locomotiva grena's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Sarmento in the 42nd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Iuri Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Catugi FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Locomotiva grena were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arthur Soeiro was the one to do the kick off. Iuri Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorginho Sarmento in the 56th minute. In the 59th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Décio Matorin to maneuver through the defense. Vitório Freire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iuri Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Locomotiva grena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorginho Sarmento's late challenge caught a Catugi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorginho Sarmento helped the player get up and apologised. Jorginho Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorginho Sarmento kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iuri Viana. That made the score 1-3 in the 65 minute of play. Geovani Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Arthur Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Loyola having to interfere. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Daniel Couto hit a great ball. Jorginho Sarmento succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 79th playminute. After some careless play in the Catugi FC defense, Jorginho Sarmento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iuri Viana. The Catugi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iuri Viana should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's Daniel Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murillo Loyola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Luís Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vitório Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arthur Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Loyola having to interfere. Daniel Couto struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Murillo Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catugi FC. In the 95th match minute, Locomotiva grena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovani Coutinho to maneuver through the defense.
