In the 2nd minute, Samim Saltar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to C.A. BOCA JUNIORS getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Ermegildo Erruki hit a great ball. Mahmoud Trezeguet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Oskarbi having to interfere. Ermegildo Erruki kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Mahmoud Trezeguet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Victoriano Oskarbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to C.A. BOCA JUNIORS getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Paolo Mancio hit a great ball. Victoriano Oskarbi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osman Ali Vatansever went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Mahmoud Trezeguet came free, but Victoriano Oskarbi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to C.A. BOCA JUNIORS getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Paolo Mancio hit a great ball. After 25 minutes, Aykut Kutluay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trabzonspor and the C.A. BOCA JUNIORS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Trabzonspor's Mahmoud Trezeguet got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paolo Mancio during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes C.A. BOCA JUNIORS got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Mancio. Anastasio Elorri was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. In the 51st minute there was a penalty for Trabzonspor. Emre Aşık stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Victoriano Oskarbi. 0-2. The C.A. BOCA JUNIORS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Trabzonspor were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mahmoud Trezeguet to make the kick off. Mahmoud Trezeguet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victoriano Oskarbi having to make a save. 60 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Mahmoud Trezeguet came free, but Victoriano Oskarbi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victoriano Oskarbi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trabzonspor. Trabzonspor's Mahmoud Trezeguet managed to work through C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mahmoud Trezeguet dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Fehmi Okay got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Ermegildo Erruki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şaban Toygun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 87 minutes of play, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Geronimo Savier made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şaban Toygun was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over Trabzonspor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A. BOCA JUNIORS throughout the match.
