In the 12th minute, Libertadores Fútbol Club's Gaston Guion seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gaston Guion the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. One of Libertadores Fútbol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of TALLERES DE CBA:s goal. Mariano Cruzado charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Cruzado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 25 minutes into the game, Bernardo Perutxo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sayveon Ripol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After some careless play in the Libertadores Fútbol Club defense, Natalio Medina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sayveon Ripol. The Libertadores Fútbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sayveon Ripol should have stopped the shot. Pablo Koldobika received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sayveon Ripol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.
