In the 3rd minute, Marin Gavrilă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balavanis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Tudor Moise sped through Balavanis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aron Bebeșel. 14 minutes into the game, Marin Gavrilă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balavanis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Royal the free kick. When Valeriu Pascu came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Sporting Royal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valeriu Pascu couldn't finish the play. After 16 minutes, Doru Băcioiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balavanis and the Sporting Royal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Doru Băcioiu kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Aron Bebeșel made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Tudor Moise sent off a good shot on target. Aron Bogatu kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Marin Gavrilă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Panait Emilianu. Sporting Royal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marin Gavrilă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Aron Bebeșel made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Leontin Postelnicescu sent off a good shot on target. Aron Bebeșel came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Royal's Leontin Postelnicescu. But to his dismay, Leontin Postelnicescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 37 minutes into the game, Balavanis's Petruț Mironescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Panait Emilianu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. If Petruț Mironescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Sporting Royal's Leontin Postelnicescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aron Bebeșel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Valeriu Pascu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Sporting Royal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valeriu Pascu couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marin Gavrilă made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Balavanis got a freekick which was hit by Gigi Văcăroiu. Sporting Royal's Aron Bogatu got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Valeriu Pascu sped through Balavanis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aron Bebeșel. In the 60th minute Marin Gavrilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Emilianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aron Bebeșel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Postelnicescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Leontin Postelnicescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Royal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Sporting Royal's Panait Emilianu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Royal from getting a goal against them. 95 minutes into the game, Cristinel Tapalagă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-5. Panait Emilianu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
