Samuel Travassos hit a great ball. Gil Baião charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gil Baião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Gil Baião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Fragoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavol Bajer in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Miroslav Kopčaj was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JuSi Malacky's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bembenfica the free kick. The supporters of Bembenfica booed when JuSi Malacky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslav Kopčaj didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aloísio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. JuSi Malacky's Miroslav Kopčaj managed to work through Bembenfica's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Miroslav Kopčaj dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 31 minutes into the match, Bembenfica's goal looked a bit too open when Miroslav Kopčaj came free, but Rafael Fragoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavol Bajer's late challenge caught a Bembenfica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pavol Bajer helped the player get up and apologised. JuSi Malacky's Stano Radolský proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save JuSi Malacky from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Bembenfica's Maurício Estrela got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 43rd match minute, Bembenfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Estrela to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Fragoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslav Kopčaj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miroslav Kopčaj was the one to do the kick off. Miroslav Kopčaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Miroslav Kopčaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Stanislav Šindler came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the JuSi Malacky fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stanislav Šindler couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute Stanislav Šindler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Fragoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miroslav Kopčaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Fragoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pavol Bajer in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, JuSi Malacky's Viktor Kvietkovič got a free kick in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Kvietkovič in the 86th minute of play forced Bembenfica's goalkeeper Rafael Fragoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miroslav Kopčaj got free with Rafael Fragoso in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Fragoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislav Šindler in the 90th minute of the match. After 96 minutes, Stanislav Šindler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JuSi Malacky and the Bembenfica players grew even worse after the yellow card.
