The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Schuster got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Giusto. Schuster's Edmondo Stella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Stavnes in the 4th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arne Hageland in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmondo Stella prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 10 minutes, Martin Stavnes made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Schuster's Edmondo Stella tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tage Kvammen kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Edmondo Stella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Kvammen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Martin Stavnes made a precise shot to the right of Edmondo Stella. Schuster's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Daustad's zone, Fabrizio Lucchetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karsten Hveding came out of the goal and Fabrizio Lucchetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Schuster's Edmondo Stella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Hageland in the 31st minute of play. In the 38th minute Arne Hageland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Stella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrizio Lucchetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Karsten Hveding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Joachim Oen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Daustad and the Schuster players grew even worse after the yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Hageland was the one to do the kick off. Edmondo Stella was a little too slow when Arne Hageland got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-5. Tage Kvammen hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Edmondo Stella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Hageland in the 63rd minute of play. Schuster's Edmondo Stella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Kvammen in the 65th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Arne Hageland kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmondo Stella. That made the score 0-6 in the 72 minute of play. Christian Liknes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Edmondo Stella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Daustad supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Daustad would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
