Moneyball's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 29th minute, Olexiy Bykaniv got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kostyantyn Biloshapka, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 39 minutes into the game, FC VERSHINA’dnipro's Volodymyr Kychak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miroslav Kubálek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Václav Abrahám stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karel Lev took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergiy Moroz. Sergiy Moroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Sergiy Moroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alojz Remeš, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Volodymyr Kychak's late challenge caught a Moneyball's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Volodymyr Kychak helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes FC VERSHINA’dnipro got a freekick which was hit by Volodymyr Kychak. Sergiy Moroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alojz Remeš in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alojz Remeš in the 74th minute of play forced FC VERSHINA’dnipro's goalkeeper Sergiy Moroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergiy Moroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alojz Remeš in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Moneyball's Karel Lev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karel Lev in the 83rd minute of play forced FC VERSHINA’dnipro's goalkeeper Sergiy Moroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Moneyball players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
