Rodolfo Siqueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mazinho Godoi scored 2-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristobal Santiago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Álvaro de Castro hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Serafino Etxekopar took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodolfo Siqueira. Rodolfo Siqueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Mazinho Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A A Arizona's protests and gave Mazinho Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Mazinho Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. SHIZUOKA FC's Cristobal Santiago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Pinho in the 37th minute of play. In the 44th minute, SHIZUOKA FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Álvaro de Castro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cristobal Santiago was a little too slow when Álvaro de Castro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 3-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ceferino Pere made a kick off. Rodolfo Siqueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moreno Beltrán went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rony Barros during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, A A Arizona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Barros to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Serafino Etxekopar made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Siqueira. A A Arizona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. After 80 played minutes SHIZUOKA FC got a freekick which was hit by Moreno Beltrán. Mazinho Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristobal Santiago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mazinho Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute, Moreno Beltrán made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Siqueira. A A Arizona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-5. 97 minutes into the match, SHIZUOKA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Godoi came free, but Cristobal Santiago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
