The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippos Antoniou got free with Steven Serrano in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lowell Weiss in the 4th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Kyriakos Matsikidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Buckner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Kyriakos Matsikidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rolf Buckner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Daniil Panagopoulos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Persepolis F.C.'s Steven Serrano. Steven Serrano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the match, Daniil Panagopoulos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Steven Serrano, 2-0. After having played for 26 minutes, Rolf Buckner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Persepolis F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolf Buckner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lowell Weiss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyriakos Matsikidis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren London in the 35th minute of play forced Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Kyriakos Matsikidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Filippos Antoniou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Serrano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Markos Melisofagos went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolf Buckner made a kick off. With a little luck, Kolopetinitsa's Kyriakos Matsikidis got control of the ball when Rolf Buckner tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Persepolis F.C. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Rolf Buckner hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the game, Joel Beltran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Persepolis F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kolopetinitsa the free kick. Warren London hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Persepolis F.C. defense, Filippos Antoniou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steven Serrano. The Persepolis F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steven Serrano should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute of the match, Rolf Buckner got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kyriakos Matsikidis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 72nd minute, Filippos Antoniou left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kolopetinitsa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Rolf Buckner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Persepolis F.C. getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Léon Allred hit a great ball. If Antonis Kalathakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 90 played minutes Persepolis F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lowell Weiss. Steven Serrano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filippos Antoniou in the 91st minute of play. In the 96th minute Rolf Buckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyriakos Matsikidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Kolopetinitsa players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
