Marciano Cambranes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Sharma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Cambranes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karol Panasewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gong Jun Feng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Blue Mountain State were awarded a corner. Afşar Uçuk went to the cornerflag to take it. Karol Panasewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gong Jun Feng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gong Jun Feng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 15th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Cambranes came free, but Robin Sharma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Gong Jun Feng, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Iulian Pietreanu came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iulian Pietreanu couldn't finish the play. Karol Panasewicz took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gong Jun Feng. Gong Jun Feng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 42nd minute, one of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC UNIREA Alba Iulia. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

FC UNIREA Alba Iulia made a substitution. Pacho Papachantzoulis replaced Marciano Cambranes. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karol Panasewicz made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Wilson Arósio could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Robin Sharma however easily saved by the left post. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gong Jun Feng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 55th minute of play. Karol Panasewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gong Jun Feng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Karol Panasewicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blue Mountain State fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Blue Mountain State made a substitution. Dino Berardino replaced Aykut Aşkın. Gong Jun Feng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Panasewicz in the 68th minute of play. Karol Panasewicz took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gong Jun Feng. Gong Jun Feng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 83rd match minute, Blue Mountain State was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Burualla to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Lionel-Andrés Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gong Jun Feng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gökcan Bergin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes Blue Mountain State got a freekick which was hit by Lionel-Andrés Messi. A collision led to Blue Mountain State getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Emanuel Garin hit a great ball. Gong Jun Feng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lionel-Andrés Messi's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Gong Jun Feng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökcan Bergin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 100 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Afşar Uçuk was slow to take the kick. During this time Blue Mountain State's players had a chance to rest.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Blue Mountain State fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC UNIREA Alba Iulia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
