Aras Sophian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaltino Pirani in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Cordara in the 17th minute of play forced Irreal Madrid's goalkeeper Noel Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonel Cordara in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jânio Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jânio Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Irreal Madrid getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jânio Mendes hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Patrick Gomes with Afonsinho Mattos as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Mattos in the 31st minute of play forced El Branca del Vieja's goalkeeper Aras Sophian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th match minute, Irreal Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Gomes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Dionísio in the 43rd minute of play forced El Branca del Vieja's goalkeeper Aras Sophian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaltino Pirani to make the kick off. Irreal Madrid made a substitution. Leo Bernard replaced Patrick Gomes. El Branca del Vieja's Leon Napierkowski was substituted for Lu Ping Wei. In the 66th match minute, Irreal Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Hermes to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, El Branca del Vieja's Silverio Tuste sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Noel Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silverio Tuste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Braga having to interfere. Irreal Madrid's Afonsinho Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Branca del Vieja's Aras Sophian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save El Branca del Vieja from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Maura in the 89th minute of play forced Irreal Madrid's goalkeeper Noel Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aras Sophian made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Matheus Dionísio sent off a good shot on target. Jânio Mendes came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aras Sophian could save by the left post. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 0-0. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Silverio Tuste in El Branca del Vieja was the one to initiate the kick off. In the 99th minute of the game Leo Bernard made a throw-in which Szabolcs Csank played forward. In the 102nd minute Afonsinho Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aras Sophian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Silverio Tuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 106th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irreal Madrid's defense didn't have a chance, in the 111th minute, when Faustino Maura scored to the left of an out of position Noel Braga, making the score, 1-0. Many of Irreal Madrid's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Irreal Madrid may have spent more time on the ball, but El Branca del Vieja were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
