The supporters of Athletico Picapedrense booed when Reko-Recko 03™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Athletico Picapedrense made a substitution. Lorenzo Jubera replaced Horaţiu Crăiță. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hristo Stoichkov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eloi Fontanella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Angelino Nueva made a huge save. Eloi Fontanella who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Angelino Nueva when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
