In the 4th minute Ingemar Stålman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Mazurkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harry Forsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Mazurkiewicz having to interfere. Dave Di Filippo took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Mazurkiewicz. Dida Mazurkiewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ingemar Stålman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Ingemar Stålman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Mazurkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Di Filippo in the 22nd minute of play forced 浦江棋王联队's goalkeeper Dida Mazurkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dida Mazurkiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingemar Stålman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Mazurkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingemar Stålman in the 27th minute of play. Dave Di Filippo scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dida Mazurkiewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rdth minute of the game Dave Di Filippo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 浦江棋王联队's Dida Mazurkiewicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oskar Haeger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciprian Toma in the 45th minute. After 47 played minutes, Hermanö Oilers's Bror Lilja shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dida Mazurkiewicz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hermanö Oilers reached it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dave Di Filippo to make the kick off. 浦江棋王联队's Dida Mazurkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Di Filippo in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Forsman in the 84th minute of play forced 浦江棋王联队's goalkeeper Dida Mazurkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciprian Toma in the 87th minute of play forced Hermanö Oilers's goalkeeper Oskar Haeger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 浦江棋王联队 were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Hermanö Oilers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dé 周瑜 took the corner. The corner led 浦江棋王联队's Dé 周瑜 to fire away a dangerous shot which Oskar Haeger despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With an all-out effort, Hermanö Oilers's Dida Mazurkiewicz threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dave Di Filippo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

Hermanö Oilers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
