After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. When the match had been going on for 143 minutes, Pesqueira City's Válbson Vidal got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Svetlozar Karamihov. Jeremias Orland had in the 145thth minute some difficulties stopping Gildo Meireles's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The Pesqueira City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
