Balus Treter's Karsten Zielinski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Balus Treter from getting a goal against them. Karsten Zielinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Clemente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Rotili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieter Bernardts in the 9th minute of the match. Alvaro Rotili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neşat Beykan in the 14th minute of play. Neşat Beykan might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Rotili. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neşat Beykan ran back to his position shaking his head. Alvaro Rotili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neşat Beykan in the 15th minute of play. Karsten Zielinski made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Alexander Bottone sent off a good shot on target. After 23 minutes A.S. Udinese's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ntinos Karsiotis who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Balus Treter's Ntinos Karsiotis to fire away a dangerous shot which Alvaro Rotili despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Alexander Bottone could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Karsten Zielinski however easily saved by the left post. Alexander Bottone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Karsten Zielinski made a huge save. Karsten Zielinski made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Alexander Bottone sent off a good shot on target. A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob van der Werff in the 33rd minute of play. In the 43rd minute of the match, Augusto Clemente tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Karsten Zielinski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Neşat Beykan made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes A.S. Udinese got a freekick which was hit by Fortunato Angelucci. Ntinos Karsiotis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Alvaro Rotili made a huge save. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Balus Treter's Jacob van der Werff in the 55th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Alvaro Rotili was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for A.S. Udinese through an amazing save. Alvaro Rotili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob van der Werff in the 60th minute of the match. A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Alexander Damiani replaced Bruno Maranzano. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.S. Udinese's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ntinos Karsiotis was slow to take the kick. During this time Balus Treter's players had a chance to rest. Ercole Fiorentino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karsten Zielinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Karsten Zielinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bottone in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Bottone in the 87th minute of play forced Balus Treter's goalkeeper Karsten Zielinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alberigo Di Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balus Treter's attentive Lukas Prielhofer managed to snatch the ball when Dino Pozzoli made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game. Balus Treter's Karsten Zielinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Fiorentino in the 95th minute of play.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A.S. Udinese fully deserved thier win.
