In the 24th match minute, Blue Mountain State was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aykut Aşkın to maneuver through the defense. Blue Mountain State's Karol Panasewicz got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blue Mountain State's George Popescu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aurelio Celino, made in the 87th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albin Tönnberg saved Baysal FK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 94th minute of play forced Baysal FK's goalkeeper Albin Tönnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Baysal FK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Blue Mountain State.
