Calixto Inchaurdi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidio Marin's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Marin in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calixto Inchaurdi saved Peru from getting behind. After having played for 14 minutes, Dale Dolar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dale Dolar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blasi Asas in the 18th minute of play forced ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Blas Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ defense, Dale Dolar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blas Colas. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blas Colas should have stopped the shot. Calixto Inchaurdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 36th minute Dale Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Blasi Asas made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Peru's Blasi Asas got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Dale Dolar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. Jorrin Briones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Blas Colas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blas Colas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claude Pradias's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Blas Colas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claude Pradias in the 76th minute of the match. Peru's Calixto Inchaurdi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Pradias in the 80th minute of play forced ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Blas Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bard Bom made in the 88th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jorrin Briones. Cesar Quinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Jorrin Briones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
