When Nemanja Vidic fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ABC anno 2012 est. 2002's protests and gave Nemanja Vidic a yellow card for diving instead. Nemanja Vidic hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Constantin Maali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baykal Alkan in the 18th minute of the match. Clive Holloway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bilge Kağan Akçakıl in the 21st minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Staffy Terrier FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Sjöberg came free, but Clive Holloway reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Bilge Kağan Akçakıl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Holloway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemanja Vidic made a great header on ABC anno 2012 est. 2002's corner, it was just that Staffy Terrier FC's Clive Holloway managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 38thth minute of the game Baykal Alkan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ABC anno 2012 est. 2002's Constantin Maali was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bengt-Åke Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clive Holloway having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Tyge Agesen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ABC anno 2012 est. 2002 and the Staffy Terrier FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, ABC anno 2012 est. 2002 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyge Agesen to maneuver through the defense. Rogelio Espiridion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, ABC anno 2012 est. 2002's Bengt-Åke Sjöberg got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Staffy Terrier FC's Clive Holloway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Åström in the 51st minute of play. Clive Holloway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bilge Kağan Akçakıl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Staffy Terrier FC defense, Bengt-Åke Sjöberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clive Holloway. The Staffy Terrier FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clive Holloway should have stopped the shot. Baykal Alkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 72nd minute Baykal Alkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Maali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Aureliusz Mazierz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ABC anno 2012 est. 2002's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Staffy Terrier FC the free kick. Aureliusz Mazierz hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Tonni Landberger in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Staffy Terrier FC's 张朗沙. In the 81st minute Bengt-Åke Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Holloway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Staffy Terrier FC's Kamuran Şanalp was substituted for Alf Klint. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Zanardi in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Constantin Maali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the match, Staffy Terrier FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Åström came free, but Clive Holloway reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Staffy Terrier FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
