Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedito Rebelo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Naldo Roig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Picanya FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexandre Eanes was slow to take the kick. During this time GD Almargense's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on GD Almargense's corner Alexandre Eanes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Naldo Roig quite easily take care of the ball. Naldo Roig came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by GD Almargense's Benedito Rebelo. But to his dismay, Benedito Rebelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Picanya FC's Naldo Roig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasmus Højlund in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Celso Eiró shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Roig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When GD Almargense's Benedito Rebelo in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Picanya FC's goalie prevented a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rasmus Højlund to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched GD Almargense eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
