The Handsome Wizards UTD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zilar Barcena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Rodrigo Ayllon took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brett Guest. Brett Guest dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zilar Barcena in the 23rd minute of play forced The Handsome Wizards UTD's goalkeeper Brett Guest to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Handsome Wizards UTD's Brett Guest played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoro Garrote in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Palmeiras de Ecuador's zone, Glyn Braithwaite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Morelo came out of the goal and Glyn Braithwaite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoro Garrote received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Brett Guest tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Victoro Garrote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvio Morelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trev Morrell in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Glen Dawson managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Handsome Wizards UTD's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen Dawson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Morelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

51 minutes into the game, Glen Dawson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Handsome Wizards UTD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmeiras de Ecuador the free kick. After a rather tough play, The Handsome Wizards UTD's Glen Dawson got a free kick in the 51st minute. Silvio Morelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glen Dawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Morelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glen Dawson in the 96th minute of the match. The Handsome Wizards UTD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
