When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Andy Cole took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Narciso Macedo to make any attempt to save it. 30 minutes into the match, Danil Shashkov notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais. Egun Pais was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Blumenau Esporte Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Andy Cole scored to the left of an out of position Narciso Macedo, making the score, 2-2. Danil Shashkov might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egun Pais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danil Shashkov ran back to his position shaking his head. Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danil Shashkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Hortêncio Fantini got a free kick in the 38th minute. The supporters of Blumenau Esporte Clube booed when Floresta Negra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute Danil Shashkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andy Cole made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Andy Cole managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floresta Negra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Cole was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danil Shashkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Egun Pais made a huge save. After 59 minutes Floresta Negra FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Régis Souto who took care of the corner kick. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Régis Souto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Egun Pais in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 65 played minutes Blumenau Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Seber. Andy Cole fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Macedo having to interfere. Blumenau Esporte Clube made a substitution. Nildo Dantas replaced Luís Fernando Rossi. A collision led to Floresta Negra FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Clemente Moura hit a great ball. Egun Pais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danil Shashkov in the 89th minute of the match. The Floresta Negra FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Blumenau Esporte Clube's performance. The match ended with a win for Blumenau Esporte Clube.
