Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hugo Albuquerque made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the game, MINEIROS's Hugo Albuquerque nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cayetano Behe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 12 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Inautzi. If Joel Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jacinto Senon hit a great ball. Hugo Albuquerque spun around in front of the goal 17 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Deportivo Balvanera's goal. Serginho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Nofre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serginho Taffarel came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Balvanera's Joaquin Nofre. But to his dismay, Joaquin Nofre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With his leg Cayetano Behe managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when MINEIROS's Hugo Albuquerque fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 30th minute Joaquin Nofre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Inautzi during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Gilberto Inautzi hit a great ball. Ronaldinho Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 41 minutes, Diego Milito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Balvanera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Milito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Errapel. MINEIROS's Ronaldinho Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deportivo Balvanera's Cayetano Behe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Balvanera from getting a goal against them.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Albuquerque in the 61st minute of play forced Deportivo Balvanera's goalkeeper Cayetano Behe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of MINEIROS booed when Deportivo Balvanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Inautzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Balvanera made a substitution. Ramiro Quin replaced Florencio Paz. Deportivo Balvanera made a substitution. Venancio Chaime replaced Gilberto Inautzi. João Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. MINEIROS's Vágner Gaspar was substituted for Nilson de Souza. In the 71st match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. Omar Fliz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Cayetano Behe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Quadros in the 79th minute of the match. Cayetano Behe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 86 minutes, Fabricio Errapel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Balvanera and the MINEIROS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Balvanera's Fabricio Errapel got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute, Toninho Goiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Behe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo Balvanera players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MINEIROS.
