The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to PHOENIX SC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Attila Toldi hit a great ball. Primus Supardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ray Clemence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes ROYALFOX FC got a freekick which was hit by Cokro Setiana. With an all-out effort, PHOENIX SC's Raja Beton threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vladimir de Sena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ricky Hasudungan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ray Clemence having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Borges in the 15th minute of play forced ROYALFOX FC's goalkeeper Raja Beton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Primus Supardi in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray Clemence saved PHOENIX SC from getting behind. Raja Beton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir de Sena in the 19th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, ROYALFOX FC's goalkeeper Raja Beton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hanung Sephtianda. Hanung Sephtianda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Raja Beton made a huge save. In the 34thth minute of the game Angelo Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ROYALFOX FC's Raja Beton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ray Clemence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primus Supardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of PHOENIX SC booed when ROYALFOX FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. April Idris didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Primus Supardi to make the kick off. Raja Beton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phoenix Kante, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Primus Supardi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ray Clemence. PHOENIX SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Primus Supardi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Raja Beton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimir de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute of the match PHOENIX SC got a corner. ROYALFOX FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hanung Sephtianda ran over to the corner to take the kick. ROYALFOX FC's Raja Beton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Borges in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX SC's Erubiel Nabar got a free kick in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primus Supardi in the 81st minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Angelo Borges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PHOENIX SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in ROYALFOX FC's zone, Angelo Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raja Beton came out of the goal and Angelo Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PHOENIX SC fully deserved thier win.
