The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jean Souto came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the AnÐaRaHy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean Souto couldn't finish the play. 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Elói Mandrak elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Alexandre Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. A collision led to AnÐaRaHy getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Téo de Sena hit a great ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Agnaldo Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. União Verde FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agnaldo Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilvan Pombal took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurício Correia. Maurício Correia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Bebeto de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st match minute, AnÐaRaHy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Souto to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Souto came free, but Bebeto de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

With a little luck, União Verde FC's Bebeto de Salles got control of the ball when Elói Mandrak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilvan Pombal's late challenge caught a AnÐaRaHy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilvan Pombal helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to União Verde FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gilvan Pombal hit a great ball. União Verde FC's Duarte do Vale was substituted for Gil Paiva. In the 64th minute, Gilvan Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Elói Mandrak took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Bebeto de Salles to make any attempt to save it. 68 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Machado came free, but Bebeto de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurício Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Pombal in the 70th minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, União Verde FC's Gilvan Pombal made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurício Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elói Mandrak in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bebeto de Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Pombal in the 90th minute of play forced AnÐaRaHy's goalkeeper Maurício Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laércio Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Correia having to interfere. After 95 played minutes AnÐaRaHy got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Berger. After 98 played minutes União Verde FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Pombal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
