The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christian Wilberforce made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Stu Hislop sent off a good shot on target. Grant Blacknell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurence Perryman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Stickleback Utd Xl's goalkeeper Christian Wilberforce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camron Rhodes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Pirés in the 23rd minute of play forced Stickleback Utd Xl's goalkeeper Christian Wilberforce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Blacknell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Martindale, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Christian Wilberforce made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Camron Rhodes sent off a good shot on target. Christian Wilberforce was a little too slow when Stu Hislop got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-0. Christian Wilberforce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stu Hislop in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute, Jeff Marriott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Stickleback Utd Xl's Christian Wilberforce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camron Rhodes in the 51st minute of play. After 54 minutes, Ian Cutts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stickleback Utd Xl and the Leicester Lions players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stickleback Utd Xl's Ian Cutts got a free kick in the 54th minute. Christian Wilberforce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bobby Pirés in the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Camron Rhodes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Christian Wilberforce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th minute, Lucas Darling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leicester Lions fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Lucas Darling hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Lucas Darling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bobby Pirés fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Wilberforce having to interfere. Leicester Lions made a substitution. Şükür Hagi replaced Lucas Darling. Stickleback Utd Xl's Christian Wilberforce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camron Rhodes in the 85th minute of play. Christian Wilberforce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şükür Hagi in the 86th minute of the match. Şükür Hagi scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Wilberforce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christian Wilberforce came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Leicester Lions's Stu Hislop. But to his dismay, Stu Hislop quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Leicester Lions fully deserved thier win.
