In the 3rd match minute, Dragões Barbudos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Jarbas Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Marquinhos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiano Alagoano was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Christiano Alagoano came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by PREZULO FC's Marquinhos Santos. But to his dismay, Marquinhos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Marquinhos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiano Alagoano was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After some careless play in the PREZULO FC defense, Joaquim Fernandes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarbas Quadros. The PREZULO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarbas Quadros should have stopped the shot. Carlos Eduardo Rosa's late challenge caught a PREZULO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Eduardo Rosa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Carlos Eduardo Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute Marquinhos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PREZULO FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Santiago Eriksen in the 19th minute. Santiago Eriksen made a great header on PREZULO FC's corner, it was just that Dragões Barbudos FC's Christiano Alagoano managed to reach the ball for a save. Marquinhos Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christiano Alagoano having to make a save. Christiano Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Santos in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Marquinhos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Alagoano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marquinhos Santos's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Christiano Alagoano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jarbas Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Fernandes in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Christiano Alagoano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christiano Alagoano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marquinhos Santos's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Jarbas Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Jarbas Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Moisescu in the 37th minute of play. Jarbas Quadros had great luck who in the 38thth minute grab hold of the ball when Valério Ortiz from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 39 minutes into the game, PREZULO FC's Marquinhos Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Alagoano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 42nd minute, Marquinhos Santos made a precise shot to the right of Christiano Alagoano. Dragões Barbudos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After having played for 46 minutes, Marquinhos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PREZULO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marquinhos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marquinhos Santos to make the kick off. Marquinhos Santoss short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Christiano Alagoano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 57 minutes into the game, PREZULO FC's Marquinhos Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Alagoano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. 62 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christiano Alagoano, 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquinhos Santos got free with Christiano Alagoano in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Dragões Barbudos FC's Christiano Alagoano got control of the ball when Marquinhos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, PREZULO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Fernandes came free, but Jarbas Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragões Barbudos FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marquinhos Santos 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-6. PREZULO FC made a substitution. Betão de Brito replaced Olgierd Literski. The crowd rose to their feet as PREZULO FC's Betão de Brito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Christiano Alagoano. That made the score 1-7 after 82 minutes of play. Carlos Eduardo Rosa made a great header on Dragões Barbudos FC's corner, it was just that PREZULO FC's Jarbas Quadros managed to reach the ball for a save. 88 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christiano Alagoano, 1-8. Jarbas Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Dragões Barbudos FC booed when PREZULO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Gomes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jarbas Quadros. PREZULO FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaac Ferreira in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christiano Alagoano saved Dragões Barbudos FC from getting behind. The PREZULO FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
