The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Umberto Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo Godoi in the 16th minute of play. Rômulo Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Esteves in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Jonathan Calleri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustão Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustão Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, New Miran FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. New Miran FC's Joel Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Cabral in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Esteves in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Velloso saved New Miran FC from getting behind. Haroldo Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Beto Cavalcante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Velloso. New Miran FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beto Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 37th minute, Haroldo Esteves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Haroldo Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Joel Velloso made a huge save. In the 46thth minute of the game Haroldo Esteves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Miran FC's Joel Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geraldo Viana was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Cavalcante in the 53rd minute of play forced New Miran FC's goalkeeper Joel Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Umberto Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 68 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Veiga. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Haroldo Esteves sped through New Miran FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joel Velloso. 75 minutes into the match, Haroldo Esteves notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of New Miran FC's Joel Velloso. Joel Velloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Haroldo Esteves took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Velloso. Joel Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in New Miran FC's zone, Haroldo Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Velloso came out of the goal and Haroldo Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Esteves in the 90th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Esteves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Velloso was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Joel Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fully deserved thier win.
