In the 29th minute Artūrs Sagalats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Honauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nino Schurter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jānis Lielais having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artūrs Sagalats in the 34th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Fabian Honauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alain Berset had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SK Annenieki's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Espen Steelers had won, even though SK Annenieki had held more of the ball.
