Evandro Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 6 minutes into the game, Fahl Gattuso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marquês de Herval the free kick. Oscar Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Waldir Araújo made a huge save. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Roberto-Carlos Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Otto came free, but Evandro Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Jefferson Otto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evandro Lara. Marquês de Herval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jefferson Otto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Jefferson Otto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute Jefferson Otto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Otto came free, but Evandro Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jefferson Otto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Lara having to interfere. In the 24th minute of the match ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ got a corner. Marquês de Herval's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Válbson Miranda ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 25 played minutes ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ got a freekick which was hit by Fahl Gattuso. In the 27thth minute of the game Jefferson Otto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Evandro Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jefferson Otto in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evandro Lara saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. Jefferson Otto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Lara having to interfere. Jefferson Otto might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evandro Lara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jefferson Otto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40thth minute of the game Jefferson Otto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Evandro Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Waldir Araújo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfredo Domingues in the 43rd minute. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Waldir Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jefferson Otto in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evandro Lara saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jefferson Otto to strike the kick off in the second half. Jefferson Otto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evandro Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Marquês de Herval getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Manfredo Domingues hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Otto in the 52nd minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Evandro Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Jefferson Otto was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 57th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Roberto-Carlos Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Evandro Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jefferson Otto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto-Carlos Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Evandro Lara made a huge save. After 78 played minutes ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ got a freekick which was hit by Válbson Miranda. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Waldir Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chuttur Lønge in the 79th minute of play. Jefferson Otto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marquês de Herval's Evandro Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the game, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Jefferson Otto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evandro Lara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Marquês de Herval:s Evandro Lara showed great skill when he stopped Válbson Miranda:s penalty. Evandro Lara came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Jefferson Otto. But to his dismay, Jefferson Otto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The Marquês de Herval fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
