The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmir Teles got free with Emerson Leão in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emerson Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Ponta, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s Cléber Paes was substituted for Armando Arce. Coritiba Foot Ball Club made a substitution. Clóvis Guerra replaced Klei Berson. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walmir Teles to make the kick off. CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s Emerson Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Hyuga in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Steve Hyuga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurinho Melo during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Delfim Dantas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 77th minute, one of Coritiba Foot Ball Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coritiba Foot Ball Club. A collision led to Coritiba Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Clóvis Guerra hit a great ball. Vicente Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Dantas having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Coritiba Foot Ball Club.
