Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lisandro Haitz to make the kick off. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bernardino Dimas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Haitz in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Atlético Rio Cuarto's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Guzman came free, but Bernardino Dimas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Guzman in the 66th minute of play forced Atlético Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Bernardino Dimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
