A throw-in in the 54th minute of the game was made by Ermegildo Chap with Elvio Ferrer as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Martin Jax scored 1-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Jax, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
