Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fermín Trujillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario got a free kick in the 6th minute. Augusto Cordario struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jonatan Licerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez Sarsfield. Jonatan Licerio came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario. But to his dismay, Augusto Cordario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Big Babousa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manos Tsakalidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes Big Babousa got a freekick which was hit by Hector Bladi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Cordario got free with Jonatan Licerio in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Montrell to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Cordario in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonatan Licerio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonatan Licerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Augusto Cordario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Ago Tramp struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jonatan Licerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez Sarsfield. In the 42nd minute Hector Bladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Manos Tsakalidis came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when Big Babousa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Costante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonatan Licerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. Big Babousa's Jonatan Licerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Cordario in the 60th minute of play. Jonatan Licerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Velez Sarsfield were awarded a corner. Filomeno Montrell went to the cornerflag to take it. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Big Babousa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Filomeno Montrell was slow to take the kick. During this time Velez Sarsfield's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Filomeno Montrell got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonatan Licerio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonatan Licerio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Cordario went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Augusto Cordario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Many of Big Babousa's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Big Babousa may have spent more time on the ball, but Velez Sarsfield were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
