Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Carmine Di Rocco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Symba's Anis Achour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Gervasi in the 12th minute of play. When Flavio Galeone fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cimone's protests and gave Flavio Galeone a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, the referee gave Symba a penalty. Aziz Mrabet looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Carmine Di Rocco. The Cimone fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Symba fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cimone had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
