Maximiliano Iigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gabriel-Omar Batista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celalettin Uzel having to make a save. When Gilberto Loreto fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ★Independiente Ψ★'s protests and gave Gilberto Loreto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Gilberto Loreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel-Omar Batista to strike the kick off in the second half. Adan Aresti kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
