In the 23rd minute, Hydra's Rodolfo Arruabarrena seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rodolfo Arruabarrena the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hydra protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rodolfo Arruabarrena had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
After a rather tough play, Hydra's Laurin Roca got a free kick in the 50th minute. Orlando Chepe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Kornecki in the 52nd minute of play. When Hydra's Manoel Xavier in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
