In the 2nd minute, Edwin Grabert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joacim Dromph was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bengt-Arne Askstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Di Kun, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute Di Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remy Uytdebroeck got free with Bengt-Arne Askstedt in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 14 minutes Savage Hippo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Remy Uytdebroeck who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Botev Plovdiv 1912's Tomislav Gitzov to fire away a dangerous shot which Bengt-Arne Askstedt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Joacim Dromph played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Grabert in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the Botev Plovdiv 1912 defense, Edwin Grabert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joacim Dromph. The Botev Plovdiv 1912 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joacim Dromph should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Di Kun reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bengt-Arne Askstedt. The goal made the score 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Owen Tomaszewski in the 28th minute of play forced Botev Plovdiv 1912's goalkeeper Joacim Dromph to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botev Plovdiv 1912's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Martynas Jaras was slow to take the kick. During this time Savage Hippo's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Savage Hippo's corner Saulius Pilipavičius fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joacim Dromph quite easily take care of the ball. Joacim Dromph took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Grabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Remy Uytdebroeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Przemyslaw Trynda charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Przemyslaw Trynda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Savage Hippo booed when Botev Plovdiv 1912 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Przemyslaw Trynda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin Grabert scored 2-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joacim Dromph, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Jørund Markhus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edwin Grabert made a kick off. Bengt-Arne Askstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evtim Stanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes, Evtim Stanov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botev Plovdiv 1912 and the Savage Hippo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evtim Stanov hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Edwin Grabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Botev Plovdiv 1912 getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Evtim Stanov hit a great ball. Bengt-Arne Askstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evtim Stanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
