Estudiantes de América's Diego Simeone quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 10 minutes into the game, Cornelio Ruisko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jan Abrahamsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kraig Fred in the 17th minute of play forced PP Plessydask's goalkeeper Jan Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by PP Plessydask's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maximo Dei was slow to take the kick. During this time Estudiantes de América's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Estudiantes de América's Prospero Gabirel to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan Abrahamsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, PP Plessydask's goal looked a bit too open when Kraig Fred came free, but Jan Abrahamsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Ranolfo was a little too slow when Holger Hvidegaard got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-1. 28 minutes into the game, Kraig Fred cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jan Abrahamsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babe Baadegaard in the 31st minute of play forced Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Marcos Ranolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Abrahamsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kraig Fred in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Kraig Fred left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estudiantes de América fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kraig Fred in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Abrahamsson saved PP Plessydask from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kraig Fred was the one to do the kick off. Kraig Fred could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Jan Abrahamsson made a huge save. Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babe Baadegaard in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute Babe Baadegaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kraig Fred in the 58th minute of play forced PP Plessydask's goalkeeper Jan Abrahamsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Hvidegaard in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, PP Plessydask's Lu Sheng Peng got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Estudiantes de América's Concetto Trasatti was substituted for Kraig Fred. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Traian Blăniță replaced Cornelio Ruisko. Lu Sheng Peng hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Estudiantes de América's Jan Abrahamsson threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gavino Raymundo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Babe Baadegaard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Ranolfo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, PP Plessydask's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Trasatti came free, but Jan Abrahamsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Concetto Trasatti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 87 in the game by Concetto Trasatti from a close distance when the talented Jan Abrahamsson managed to make a qualified save. PP Plessydask's players were relieved. In the 88th match minute, PP Plessydask was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Lastur to maneuver through the defense. Jan Abrahamsson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Maximo Dei. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Lundberg in the 94th minute of play forced Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Marcos Ranolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Dei. Palle Pottenstein scored 2-4 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Ranolfo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
