An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Molander in the 9th minute of play forced Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Newcastle United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aílton de Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time DJVAGALUMY FC.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Aílton de Lima to fire away a dangerous shot which Mikolaj Jerzyk despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adam Pacholewski came free, but Luís Fernando de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikolaj Jerzyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimir do Vale in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pankracy Malicki in the 21st minute of play forced DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goalkeeper Luís Fernando de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fernando de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Zembrzuski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fernando de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Pacholewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Newcastle United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Donato Christobal in the 31st minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Adam Pacholewski heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Daniel Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of DJVAGALUMY FC. booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Lampa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Fernando de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Zembrzuski in the 38th minute of play. Mikolaj Jerzyk came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Daniel Linares. But to his dismay, Daniel Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 43 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Linares. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Luís Fernando de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pankracy Malicki in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute Adam Pacholewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fernando de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes DJVAGALUMY FC. got a freekick which was hit by Téo Furtado. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Linares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to interfere. After 52 minutes, Marian Zembrzuski made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Luís Fernando de Queiroz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th match minute, DJVAGALUMY FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gottfrid Henriksson to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Donato Christobal sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Luís Fernando de Queiroz threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Donato Christobal this time. 60 minutes into the match, DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adam Pacholewski came free, but Luís Fernando de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, Newcastle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Christobal to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Stig-Åke Molander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mikolaj Jerzyk. Newcastle United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig-Åke Molander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Kvammen, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Luís Fernando de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Christobal in the 78th minute of the match. Mikolaj Jerzyk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Kvammen's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Benjamin Kvammen struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DJVAGALUMY FC.. In the 86th match minute, Newcastle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Wojtowicz to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir do Vale came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Zembrzuski got free with Luís Fernando de Queiroz in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
