The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Petre Iftode came free, but Armando Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diki Doro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Atarrabi in the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Soroca F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Neiva to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Grau. 10 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Armando Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Zhao Sen Yang made a precise shot to the right of Armando Armani. Soroca F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. İlhami Akyazıcı hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Henky Sumendap made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Petre Iftode. When Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Soroca F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. 22 minutes into the game, Zhao Sen Yang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Armando Armani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th match minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Di Piazza to maneuver through the defense. Rodolfo Atarrabi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Diki Doro firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 28th minute of the match Soroca F.C. got a corner. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Godofredo Quilino ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bernardo Di Piazza hit a great ball. Rodolfo Atarrabi in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Diki Doro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Diki Doro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Sen Yang in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Armani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhao Sen Yang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Soroca F.C. defense, Zhao Sen Yang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Armani. The Soroca F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Armani should have stopped the shot. Soroca F.C.'s Luís Fernando Díaz was substituted for Godofredo Quilino. After the first half Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Zhao Sen Yang made the kick off in the second half. Armando Armani was a little too slow when Zhao Sen Yang got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-4. When Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Soroca F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Zhao Sen Yang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Răzvan Necula's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diki Doro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Mugurel Pandele was substituted for İlhami Akyazıcı. Primitivo Grau came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Armando Armani could save by the left post. Armando Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 75th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primitivo Grau got free with Armando Armani in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Sen Yang in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Armani saved Soroca F.C. from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 86th minute of play forced Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Armando Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Armando Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 90th minute of the match. When Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang, in the 90th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-. Armando Armani was a little too slow when Zhao Sen Yang got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 96th minute Zhao Sen Yang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Soroca F.C.'s Armando Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 97th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Zézinho Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
