Alvino Anania showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martino Goyenechea in the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Gonzalo Abarzuza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Algarrobo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Adriano Couve might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvino Anania. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adriano Couve ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Abarzuza notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Baez FC's Severino Taylor. Severino Taylor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Baez FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Martino Goyenechea hit a great ball. Tomás Alday could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Severino Taylor made a huge save. Algarrobo were furious when José Alejandro Daire was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Martino Goyenechea kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Aristeo Vodanovic hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Severino Taylor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Alday in the 31st minute. Tomás Alday scored 3-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Taylor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alvino Anania stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurín Dagnino's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Alday was the one to do the kick off. Alvino Anania was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martino Goyenechea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 52 minute of play. Jose Miguel Reinaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Severino Taylor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Algarrobo's Alvino Anania proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Algarrobo from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Algarrobo defense, Martino Goyenechea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvino Anania. The Algarrobo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvino Anania should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Baez FC booed when Algarrobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Casanova didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerardo Villalón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Alvino Anania made a huge save. Severino Taylor came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Algarrobo's Tomás Alday. But to his dismay, Tomás Alday quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Baez FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Algarrobo.
