When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Danell Mackiathan sped through UE Cornella's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jano França. In the 19th minute C.J. La Marca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danell Mackiathan in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jano França saved UE Cornella from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in UE Cornella's zone, Lin Yun Fan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jano França came out of the goal and Lin Yun Fan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Turgut Soyuer to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Danell Mackiathan made a precise shot to the right of Jano França. UE Cornella's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When C.J. La Marca fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UE Cornella's protests and gave C.J. La Marca a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, UE Cornella's C.J. La Marca got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Turgut Soyuer notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of UE Cornella's Jano França. Jano França was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 59 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's goalkeeper Jano França had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Turgut Soyuer. The audience was convinced that Danell Mackiathan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jano França was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. 91 minutes into the match, Danell Mackiathan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jano França, 0-7. In the 96th minute George Echavarri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Abad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chinese CJ Youth Academy played a much better game than UE Cornella and deserved their victory. The UE Cornella players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
