In the 13th minute Andrézinho Pelé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eriberto Lopes hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Tadeo Suarez made in the 20th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Qian Yu Ao. The supporters of RB Chubut booed when ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. RB Chubut's Fabian Jerrald couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind RB Chubut's goalkeeper Paco Zamora, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paco Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Santos in the 32nd minute of play. Eriberto Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s João Vítor Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho Pelé in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Ove Ahlström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ove Ahlström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nestor Nazario kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If Antônio Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RB Chubut made a substitution. Lázaro Quico replaced Rogelio Otsando. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 52 played minutes ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ got a freekick which was hit by Richard Nixon. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eriberto Lopes during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th minute, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lázaro Quico fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. RB Chubut's attack was well implemented in the 57th minute, but when Niles Moran was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Antônio Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paco Zamora having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Antônio Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paco Zamora was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 71 minutes into the match, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goal looked a bit too open when Niles Moran came free, but João Vítor Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paolo Maldini hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Santos in the 87th minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Paco Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Vítor Arósio was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Teobaldo Gaztea capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Teobaldo Gaztea really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ove Ahlström during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paco Zamora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
