An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Măcriș in the 4th minute of play forced New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gustavo Gustavson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 5 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Favoretto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xandinho Kane in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mads Saver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Xandinho Kane sped through Vae Victis!!'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mads Saver. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Xande Koeman hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gustavo Gustavson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Linhares. In the 14th minute of the match Vae Victis!! got a corner. New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. José Carlos de Salles ran over to the corner to take the kick. Vae Victis!!'s Dacian Măcriș was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 16th minute, José Carlos de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Gustavson made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Carlos de Salles in the 22nd minute. In the 27th match minute, Vae Victis!! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Măcriș to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Gustavson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Măcriș in the 30th minute of the match. After 35 minutes, Claudinho Terra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Joinville - FSCMZ and the Vae Victis!! players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Terra. Gustavo Gustavson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dacian Măcriș went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xandinho Kane made a kick off. If Xandinho Kane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas De la Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Mads Saver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Massa lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 58th minute, Armando Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Gustavson came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vae Victis!!'s Dacian Măcriș. But to his dismay, Dacian Măcriș quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 68th minute, Claudinho Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. New Joinville - FSCMZ made a substitution. Thomás Cardoso replaced Claudinho Terra. 85 minutes into the match, Vae Victis!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas De la Cruz came free, but Mads Saver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Gustavson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
