Ryszard Kopacz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tony Hazard hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Caco Souza took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diamantino Lobo. Diamantino Lobo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Eurico Moreira charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eurico Moreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Eurico Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mao Xu Ang got free with Diamantino Lobo in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ryszard Kopacz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Souza in the 37th minute of play forced Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Diamantino Lobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes Jacuitiba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Tao Zhou Ke. In the 39th minute of the match Rui Sabóia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino Lobo skillfully saved the ball. The Jacuitiba - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Basílio Silveira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Figueirense - FSCMZ's Chico Rodrigues got a free kick in the 44th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basílio Silveira in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ryszard Kopacz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute Basílio Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Kopacz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, José Augusto Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Basílio Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Jacuitiba - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Silveira couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Basílio Silveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ryszard Kopacz. That made the score 2-3 after 59 minutes of play. In the 62nd minute, Basílio Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ryszard Kopacz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. In the 67th minute Mao Xu Ang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Lobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mao Xu Ang in the 75th minute of play forced Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Diamantino Lobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Silveira struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ryszard Kopacz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacuitiba - FSCMZ. Basílio Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Ryszard Kopacz made a huge save. Basílio Silveira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Ryszard Kopacz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Murillo Monteiro hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ryszard Kopacz made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Basílio Silveira sent off a good shot on target. After 89 minutes, Falcão Britto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacuitiba - FSCMZ and the Figueirense - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th match minute, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Britto to maneuver through the defense. Diamantino Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mao Xu Ang in the 91st minute of the match. With a little luck, Figueirense - FSCMZ's Ryszard Kopacz got control of the ball when Basílio Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chants of Jacuitiba - FSCMZ echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Figueirense - FSCMZ had held the ball for most of the match.
