Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Tory Pryor started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Lionel Paly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Berset, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Endrik Fuchs came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Ingo Minder put in a rough tackle. In the 10th minute, one of Switzerland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Switzerland. When Alain Berset came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Switzerland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alain Berset couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Rosa came free, but Kim-André van der Schans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pirmin Jäggi in the 19th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Téo Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wil 1900's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to FC Wil 1900 getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Téo Rosa hit a great ball. Martin Rutschs short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Lionel Paly to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 28 in the game by Martin Rutsch from a close distance when the talented Lionel Paly managed to make a qualified save. FC Wil 1900's players were relieved. Lionel Paly was a little too slow when Alain Berset got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-1. With a little luck, FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly got control of the ball when Martin Rutsch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 35 minutes FC Wil 1900's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Rutsch who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Switzerland's Martin Rutsch to fire away a dangerous shot which Lionel Paly despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 36th minute, Johnny Della Rossa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Berset in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alain Berset didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Pirmin Jäggi got a free kick in the 47th minute. After 49 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Pirmin Jäggi. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Alain Berset made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Téo Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim-André van der Schans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tory Pryor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Wil 1900's Friedrich Nietzsche was substituted for Bernhard Zollinger. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Pirmin Jäggi got a free kick in the 68th minute. Lionel Paly didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alain Berset went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Gutierre Lauri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lionel Paly having to make a save. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gutierre Lauri in the 72nd minute of play. A very nice done corner allowed Martin Rutsch to score against Lionel Paly in FC Wil 1900's goal. 4-1 after 76 minutes. Alessandro Finotti hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Friedrich Nietzsche kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Kim-André van der Schans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Téo Rosa in the 86th minute. Alain Berset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
