Nontas Livaditis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Szymon Gierasik made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Feliks Mentus came free, but Thanasis Iliopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AFC Ajax getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Daniil Vouzas hit a great ball. Wieslaw Barciniak took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thanasis Iliopoulos. AFC Ajax's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 21 minutes, Gerasimos Liakos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Ajax and the Hlonda Boyz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Gerasimos Liakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Hlonda Boyz booed when AFC Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippos Markos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, one of AFC Ajax:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AFC Ajax. 30 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's Nestoras Xanthopoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Szymon Gierasik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniil Vouzas's late challenge caught a Hlonda Boyz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniil Vouzas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, AFC Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniil Vouzas to maneuver through the defense. After 39 played minutes, Hlonda Boyz's Wieslaw Barciniak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thanasis Iliopoulos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hlonda Boyz reached it.

Hlonda Boyz's Wieslaw Barciniak shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Thanasis Iliopoulos but with some difficulty. When Menios Katsiaros fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Ajax's protests and gave Menios Katsiaros a yellow card for diving instead. Hlonda Boyz made a substitution. Izydor Blicharz replaced Herbert Fink. The supporters of Hlonda Boyz booed when AFC Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Menios Katsiaros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanasis Iliopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikolaj Mnich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paschalis Kitsas hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Giannis Rafailakis made a precise shot to the right of Szymon Gierasik. Hlonda Boyz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thanasis Iliopoulos was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Feliks Mentus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Feliks Mentus really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. AFC Ajax's Nestoras Xanthopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Izydor Blicharz might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thanasis Iliopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Izydor Blicharz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute, Giannis Rafailakis made a precise shot to the right of Szymon Gierasik. Hlonda Boyz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Szymon Gierasik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestoras Xanthopoulos in the 94th minute of play. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 2-2. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

Giannis Rafailakis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 102ndth minute tested the skills of Szymon Gierasik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 104 minutes into the game, Hlonda Boyz's Mikolaj Mnich nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thanasis Iliopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The Hlonda Boyz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hlonda Boyz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
