Espen Steelers's Claus Buccino got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Gaetano Rothstein got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 11 played minutes, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Fernandinho Neiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Randolf Achen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE reached it. Júlio Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Randolf Achen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitinho Queiroz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Randolf Achen. Espen Steelers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Randolf Achen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Brasil went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ramiro Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaetano Rothstein in the 36th minute of the match. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Flavian Fäh replaced Gaetano Rothstein. Vitinho Queiroz, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After 52 played minutes CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Nunes. If Túlio Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Júlio Brasil charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Brasil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Júlio Brasil got a free kick in the 64th minute. Espen Steelers's Andre Zurbuchen was substituted for Fidel Righetti. Júlio Brasil hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When Bryan Rohner fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espen Steelers's protests and gave Bryan Rohner a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Túlio Hermes got free with Randolf Achen in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Túlio Hermes during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 71 minutes into the game, Freeman Mächler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espen Steelers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE the free kick. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Freeman Mächler hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Silas Siqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Siqueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Randolf Achen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Espen Steelers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vitinho Queiroz was slow to take the kick. During this time CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's players had a chance to rest. Ramiro Bertassi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claus Buccino went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavian Fäh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavian Fäh in the 92nd minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Freeman Mächler notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Ramiro Bertassi. Ramiro Bertassi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute Bryan Rohner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Freeman Mächler made the kick off and play began. Ramiro Bertassi was out of position in the 100 minute of play, and Claus Buccino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claus Buccino really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2.
